Corporate Governance Guidelines are issued by the Iceland Chamber of Commerce, Business Iceland and Nasdaq Iceland. The guidelines were first published in 2004 and a revised version was released a year later. The third version of the guidelines was published in 2009, and the fourth in 2012. The latest version of the guidelines was published in Icelandic in May 2015.

Considerable co-operation exists between self-regulatory Corporate Governance bodies in the Nordic countries. That has resulted in the publising of a presentation that contains the main characteristics of Corporate Governance in the Nordic Countries. The presentation can be accessed here below.
In April 2013 a working group of numerous bodies responsible for issuing Corporate Governance Guidelines in 26 European Countries was formed. This collaboration goes by the name of European Corporate Governance Network was launched in 2007 and since then it‘s scope has almost tripled.

One of Swedens most top specialists in Corporate Governance, Per Lekvall, published a book in 2014 called The Nordic Corporate Governance Model. Per points out that the Nordic Region is remarkable in many ways and has been the subject of increasing interest over the past years. This comprehensive study is now available in English here.
